We get asked all the time if something is covered or not. Homeowners insurance provides financial protection against multiple disasters. A “standard” policy insures the home and the items inside of it.
Homeowners insurance falls under the term “package policy”. A “package policy” covers both your property and your liability. The policy generally covers your property and that of family members living with you.
Disasters are the most common cause of damage to property. Most disasters are covered, however the worst disasters caused by floods or earthquakes are not covered. These disasters are covered by separate policies.
